iomete is a managed cloud data analytics platform/infrastructure. In the core, it provides a data lakehouse with Multi-cluster Shared-data Architecture and mission-critical services around data to deliver an end-to-end data analytics experience.


Lakehouse is an environment designed to combine the data structure and data management features of a data warehouse with the low-cost storage of a data lake. One of the important capabilities of lakehouse over data lake is it provides a structured transactional layer with support for ACID (atomic, consistent, isolated, durable) transactions, updates and deletes, and schema enforcement.

Multi-cluster Shared-data Architecture

Iomete provides a unified lakehouse (data lake + warehouse) solution based on an object store AWS S3, to provide a centralized location to store structured and unstructured data, following the design principles of Multi-cluster Shared-data Architecture; all the applications access iomete storage as the source of truth, as opposed to different data silos. This architecture allows us to store the data as-is, without having to first structure the data, and run different types of analytics to guide better decisions, building dashboards and visualizations from big data processing, real-time analytics, and machine learning. Another advantage of this architecture is isolating virtual warehouses based on use-cases (reporting, ETL, etc.) or by a team without duplicating data
